A mid-sized country’s defence industries cannot be sustainable through domestic procurement alone. Exports are critical to strategic autonomy and long-term competitiveness. In global markets, the politics and industrial relationships matter as much as the technology.
Supply chains and alliance structures are being reshaped. As countries reassess their suppliers and increasingly choose to build and buy with trusted allies, like-minded partners have a rare opening to deepen industrial ties, share capability, and integrate into one another’s defence markets. The advantage will go to those who read this shift early and position for it deliberately.
I founded PerceptX to help Canada and its like-minded partners do exactly that: independent, export-oriented defence analysis, built on a Canadian perspective and Canadian-owned data, serving governments, industry, and investors worldwide. Our perspective is grounded in more than twenty years of experience in defence and reinforced by a network of trusted representatives across key international markets.

Our Industries
Navigating High-Stakes Industries
It is a defining decade for industry. Defence is our core area of expertise and passion. With unprecedented spending, growth, and growing complexity, we help clients navigate shifting competition and accelerated procurement. The next decade will be defining for industry and governments around the world. We advise government, industry and investors where to specialize, partner and export.
Demand for sovereign domain awareness, resilient communications and ISR is pushing governments towards layered architectures built on commercial integration. PerceptX advises governments and industry on positioning across a landscape where competition and cooperation overlap in the same orbit.
Cyber resilience, autonomous systems, quantum and other emerging technologies are reshaping the industrial and competitive landscape. We advise on how emerging technologies impact procurements and operational capabilities as they redraw the defence industrial map. Partner and export as emerging technology redraws the defence industrial map.
Ports, fleets and naval programs are modernizing under combined pressure from supply-chain disruption, emissions regulation and a sharper maritime security environment. PerceptX advises governments and industry on where Canadian and allied capability meets demand.
